Willen House is a new luxury purpose-built student accommodation scheme created through the transformation and extension of a historic listed building in the heart of London’s Zone 1.
Working alongside the main contractor, client, architect, and interior designer, Project ff&e brought the Art Deco design intent to life with furniture that respected the building’s historic feature.
Scope of Works
Project ff&e supplied and installed bespoke fitted and loose furniture across all 223 studios. The studio layouts were developed by Project Group Design and delivered on-site by Project ff&e, keeping the design consistent throughout every room.
In the communal areas, Project ff&e installed amenity kitchens, custom joinery, and furniture based on Project Studio’s interior concepts. Managing both private rooms and shared facilities under one package ensured seamless quality control and design continuity across the entire building.
Programme & Delivery
The installation took seven months, averaging 15 studio fit-outs per week.
To maintain this pace, Project ff&e stationed a full-time, dedicated team on-site, including an Installation Manager, Site Supervisor, five fitters, and five operatives.
Quality, Health & Safety
The site maintained rigorous health and safety protocols throughout the build, backed by independent monthly audits.
Social Value
Every member of the installation team was hired locally, keeping project spend within the community and using skilled trades from the surrounding areas.
