True Leicester is a 472-bed purpose-built student accommodation development in the city’s Cathedral Quarter. Spread across 7 and 11-storey blocks, the scheme features over 1,750m² of amenity space - including co-working zones, a gym, and a festival-inspired social space - successfully repurposing a site that had stood vacant for over a decade.
Our Scope
Project FF&E managed the design, supply, and installation of the complete furniture package:
• 422 studios and 50 cluster bedrooms.
• Five communal kitchens.
• Extensive ground-floor amenity and social zones.
Operational Delivery
The project’s intricate floorplates and historic elements across the 7 and 11-storey blocks required a highly coordinated logistics strategy. Our on-site team maintained a flexible installation sequence, adapting resource planning in real-time to stay aligned with the main contractor’s programme. This proactive approach ensured a consistent, high-quality finish across all units and communal areas.
The Outcome
True Leicester stands as a benchmark for modern PBSA, proving that historic sites can be successfully adapted to meet the technical demands of contemporary student housing. The project highlights our capability to manage large-scale delivery with a solutions-focused mindset, working alongside Aztec Construction and Bricks Group to revitalise a key piece of Leicester’s city centre.
