Background
Located on the historic Doncaster and Monkbridge Iron and Steelworks site, UNCLE Leeds (Part 2) delivers 488 premium build-to-rent apartments across two striking towers in the heart of the city. Just a short walk from Leeds train station, the development combines modern canal-side living with exceptional shared amenities designed for community, sustainability, and contemporary lifestyles.
Scope of Works
Project ff&e were appointed by RG Group to design, supply, and install fitted wardrobes and kitchens across all room types.
The kitchens featured vinyl wrap doors, a mix of laminate, quartz, and Dekton worktops, and Bosch and Candy appliances, ensuring a balance of quality and style.
In total, 802 wardrobes were installed, each with double sliding mirrored doors, a hat shelf, and hanging rail, offering practical yet elegant storage solutions.
Operations & Delivery
The project was completed over approximately 44 weeks, averaging 16 kitchens and 27 wardrobes installed per week. Following completion, our team continued to support the client with the snagging and handover process. The works were managed by a dedicated project team, including a Senior Contracts Manager, Installation Manager, and skilled local fitting teams.
Key Challenge
A major logistical challenge involved the delivery of heavy quartz worktops via a specially designed chute from the hoist through a window- an operation meticulously planned and approved under strict Health & Safety procedures.
Impact
The project was delivered entirely by a Yorkshire-based workforce and we supported a number of RG Group’s community initiatives for local causes.
