True Student, Sheffield is a 28-storey landmark purpose built student accommodation comprising 494 beds. Opened in September 2025, Project ff&e were appointed by Aztec Construction to design, supply, and install fitted furniture, bespoke joinery, and ff&e across all studios, cluster bedrooms, and student amenity spaces.

Project Scope

The project comprised a diverse mix of living and social spaces:

•             99 cluster bedrooms and 18 shared kitchens.

•             395 self-contained studios.

•             Seven communal areas featuring 26 bespoke joinery elements, including reception pieces and feature panelling.

Precision Delivery

To meet the demanding build programme, we maintained a rigorous pace of 30 rooms per week. This was achieved through a rolling installation schedule and a dedicated on-site management team that scaled up during peak phases.

Navigating the constraints of a tight city-centre site, our logistics strategy focused on precision scheduling and close coordination with other trades to ensure momentum never stalled.

Impact & Quality

Sustainability was a core priority; as an FSC® certified business, all furniture was manufactured using responsibly sourced materials. We also prioritised local labour, ensuring the project’s success benefited the Sheffield community.
