Hyatt Leeds is a landmark 12-storey development located in the heart of Sovereign Square, just a three-minute walk from the railway station, making it the ideal destination for both business and leisure travellers. Offering easy access to popular city spots including First Direct Arena, Leeds Art Gallery and Leeds Docks, the hotel is perfectly placed for exploring everything Leeds has to offer. Designed by Leeds-based DLA Architecture, the development draws inspiration from the city’s rich merchandising and textile heritage.
Project ff&e were appointed to design, manufacture, deliver, and install both fixed and loose furniture across a dual branded Hyatt Hotel brands, 217 guest bedrooms in Hyatt Place and 88 studio bedrooms in Hyatt House.
For Hyatt Place, the focus was on creating contemporary, comfortable spaces suited to both business and leisure guests. Each room was fitted with bespoke headboards, wardrobes, complemented by high-quality loose furniture to ensure a seamless balance of style and function.
In Hyatt House, designed for extended-stay guests, Project ff&e delivered a complete furniture package including fully equipped kitchenettes, breakfast bars, and multifunctional living zones. Each studio featured integrated TV partitions and workspace solutions, to enhance comfort and flexibility.
Beyond the guest rooms, Project ff&e also delivered extensive front-of-house bespoke joinery and loose furniture packages for the shared amenity spaces. This included reception desks, bar counters, space dividers, and feature joinery incorporating local references such as reeded glass film with a Leeds owl motif, celebrating the city’s identity.
Through close coordination from design to installation, Project ff&e successfully delivered a cohesive and high-quality fit-out across both hotels whilst reflecting the distinct character of each brand.
