Background
Project ff&e were delighted to partner with Moda on their latest Build to Rent development in Hove, situated within the regenerated Sackville Trading Estate. Just a short walk from Hove’s iconic pebble beach, the seafront, and Hove Station, the development offers residents modern coastal living with exceptional connectivity and lifestyle amenities.
The scheme comprises 564 state-of-the-art rental homes, including a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom interior-designed apartments. Residents benefit from an impressive range of shared facilities such as a 24-hour gym and studio, cinema room, co-working space, private dining areas, landscaped terraces, secure parking, and cycle storage, all designed to foster convenience, wellbeing, and community.
Project Details
Project ff&e were appointed to supply, deliver, and install loose furniture across 471 apartments, 10 penthouses, and multiple amenity spaces throughout the development.
The apartment packages included beds and mattresses; bedside tables; dining tables and chairs; sofas and coffee tables; and media units.
The amenity spaces were furnished with a diverse range of high-quality pieces including sofas and armchairs in various styles and sizes; Bar stools; coffee tables; TV units; cinema armchairs and a pool table
Each item was selected to complement the development’s contemporary interior design, ensuring consistency in quality and aesthetic across all blocks.
Operations
The project was delivered over a total of 19 weeks on site, spread across 18 months, as the team returned to install furniture in each block as construction was completed. Installation averaged 25 apartments per week, ensuring a smooth and efficient phased delivery programme.
A dedicated on-site team, including a Site Manager and six skilled operatives, overseen by the Operations Manager, ensured seamless coordination and quality installation throughout.
With the development spanning six apartment blocks, Project ff&e successfully managed complex logistics, navigating live construction environments while maintaining programme commitments. The team’s strong communication and collaborative relationships with the site management team were key to ensuring minimal disruption and efficient handovers.
