Located in the heart of the city opposite Leeds Town Hall, Headrow Court has transformed four former office buildings into modern student accommodation in one of Leeds’ most central locations.
The redevelopment, delivered by Fortis Vision for L&S Leeds, has created 108 contemporary studio apartments, providing high-quality living space for students in the city. The property will be operated by Prestige Student Living.
Project Details
Project ff&e were appointed by Fortis Vision to design, supply and install fitted and loose kitchen and bedroom furniture across all 108 studio apartments.
Delivery and Installation
The installation programme was delivered over 18 weeks, with an on-site team led by a Senior Site Manager and Team Leader.
On average, the team completed around 10 rooms per week, with installation works carried out in phases. Kitchens were installed first, followed by bedroom furniture, allowing the project to progress in line with the wider construction programme.
Logistics and Coordination
Working within a tight city centre site created a number of logistical challenges. Limited on-site storage meant materials needed to be delivered on a carefully planned schedule, while the project’s multiple blocks were progressing at different stages of construction.
In addition, delivery access to the site was restricted to between 10am and 3pm, requiring precise coordination to ensure products arrived when required.
Through detailed planning and close collaboration with supply chain partners and site teams, Project ff&e ensured that the correct materials were delivered and available on site to maintain programme progress.
Project Outcome
Despite the logistical constraints associated with a busy city centre location, Project ff&e successfully delivered the furniture installation across all 108 studio apartments, helping transform the former office buildings into a modern and well-connected student living environment in the heart of Leeds.
