‍Enclave Acton is a landmark 30-storey, co-living development providing premium urban housing in West London.

Project ff&e were appointed by Vision Volumetric to design, supply, and install bespoke case goods across 462 modular studio apartments.

‍Modular Construction Approach

Furniture was installed directly into modular units at Vision Volumetric’s Bedford factory before the modules were transported and assembled on-site to create the 30-storey high-rise.

From May to September 2024, Project ff&e’s installation team worked within the factory environment, fitting furniture into 30–45 modules per week to support the fast-paced modular production programme.

‍Logistics and Coordination

With over 40 variations in room layouts and finishes to suit the co-living model, the project required precise logistics planning and daily deliveries. Project ff&e worked closely with the furniture supplier to create pre-labelled pallets for individual rooms, ensuring the correct materials were delivered and installed efficiently within each specific module.

‍Sustainability

The project supported key sustainability objectives through the use of local labour and installation teams, helping reduce travel emissions and support the local economy. Furthermore, waste was fully segregated within the factory, including dedicated glass and metal recycling streams.

‍Project Delivery

Working in a high-speed factory environment required an adaptable approach. To maintain productivity and keep pace with the module output, Project ff&e increased on-site resources, introduced split shifts, and streamlined delivery processes.

Through strong coordination and efficient logistics, Project ff&e successfully completed furniture installation across all 462 modular apartments.
