From the initial outset of the project, Project:ff&e formed an integral part of the consortium bid for the work at Elgin Academy.
We took ownership of all the FF&E listed in the Room Data Sheets (RDS), holding detailed discussions with the client to ensure that everyone was aware of what FF&E was required.
Over 85% of the school had been space planned and signed off by the council prior to financial close. We also developed and signed off bespoke teaching walls for each school and the variants per subject. Detailed specification sheets were also produced.
Project:ff&e then took the lead role in the M&E interface by holding meetings with the M&E designers and council representatives. This allowed for detailed M&E designs, which identified any potential issues that could have arisen.
“Project FF&E sourced, supplied and installed the fixed and loose furniture and equipment to Elgin Academy and Keith Primary School, developed by The Moray Council via a PPP project with support from Scottish Futures Trust.
During the many detailed discussions they demonstrated a real desire to achieve the best technical solution and the best value for the schools. They were innovative, resourceful, and certainly went the extra mile to deliver a quality product that would last, and would be valued by pupils and staff.
Their organisation of the contract was excellent and on-site installation very good during a hectic completion stage for the schools. It was a pleasure to work with them.”
